Fara in Sabina, also spelled Fara Sabina, is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Rieti in the Italian region Lazio, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northeast of Rome and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southwest of Rieti.

Description
The monastery of the Poor Clares Hermits of Fara in Sabina, is based at a historic Castle dating to the early medieval period. For many centuries, many events were linked to the history of the nearby Abbey of Farfa, and monastic building visible today dates back in part at that time, unlike another area rebuilt from scratch
