Description
Of great artistic interest is the Piscina Porcinai - Giardino delle Piante Acquatiche, built at the end of the 1950s, based on a project by the landscape architect Pietro Porcinai, one of Italy's leading landscape architects, commissioned by Count Giannino Citterio, owner of the island.
The area where the swimming pool was built was a disused sandstone quarry, used in the past to quarry stone for the construction of the island.
